APNA’s Primary Health Care Student Nurse Placement Program

APNA offers students the opportunity to experience primary health care nursing in various urban, regional, rural or remote locations, in settings including general practice, schools and community health.

The program is growing, and APNA is looking for general practice and other primary health care workplaces to join them and make this exciting sector the first choice for nurses when leaving education.

Benefits include:

  • Workplaces get paid $50 per student per day.
  • APNA’s placements team fully supports nurses supervising students, including access to education tools and professional development.
  • Flexibility with placements, with 2–4 week placement windows available throughout the year.
  • Workplaces can build a pipeline of prospective future employees.
  • APNA organises everything for you, allowing you to focus on sharing your know-how with the next generation of nurses.

To learn more, complete an expression of interest form and a member of APNA’s team will be in touch.
