Australian General Practice Network Limited - Part Time Practice Nurse

Australian General Practice Network Limited is seeking to employ a Part Time General Practice Nurse. They will work with long established General Practice Clinics across two sites in Maitland and Ardrossan for treatment room duties, Chronic Disease Care Planning and Health Assessments.

A Practice Nurse’s role is to fully support the delivery of high quality clinical care to our patients working collaboratively with the General Practitioners, reception, allied health and pathology services. The successful candidate would provide nursing services by:

• Assisting GPs with minor procedures, wound care, venepuncture, ECGs and spirometry
• Performing Childhood Immunisation
• Ordering and Stock take of consumables
• Assisting with recall and reminder systems
• Health Assessments, and Chronic Disease Management Plans
• Work in partnership with patients on identified issues, within scope and practice of the Practice Nurse’s duties.
• Cold chain Management
• Good computer skills and experience in ZedMed practice software are an advantage

The successful applicant will be required to undergo a Criminal History Check.

AGPNs clients maintain a comprehensive vaccination program for its workers. The successful applicant may be required to provide their immunisation record upon request.
