During April, Country SA PHN’s Community Advisory Committees continued their work engaging with the local community.
On Thursday 3 April, Country SA PHN Manager – Community Collaborations Bridget Kennelly joined the Lower Eyre Local Health Cluster virtually for their meeting in Port Lincoln.
At this meeting, guest speakers Jodie Ween and Amy Williams spoke of the Northern Eyre Health Care project, which is exploring Innovative Models of Care in primary healthcare across the mid Eyre Peninsula. Three new General Members were accepted at the Committee meeting to join the Cluster.
On Friday 4 April, Bridget gave a presentation on Country SA PHN as an organisation and what opportunities were available through the Rural Health Innovation Fund to the four presiding members of the Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network Health Advisory Councils.
It was wonderful to have the opportunity to explain Country SA PHN’s model of service delivery and connection to the community through our Community Advisory Committees.
On Tuesday 15 April, Bridget joined Roxby Downs Health Forum virtually to further discuss the Roxby Downs Happy Healthy Expo, which will take place on Saturday 28 June, bringing together health service providers for a free community event.
