Country SA PHN and the Department for Health and Wellbeing (SA Health) are developing a Joint Regional Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Plan 2026 – 2029 (Joint Regional Plan) for country South Australia. To do this, we have launched ‘Working together for the mental health of country South Australia’ - a conversation to develop the 3-year plan. We want to ensure our services provide the best possible care and meet the needs of our community, now and in the future.
The purpose of this consultation is to ensure stakeholder views are central to, and inform the development of, theJoint Regional Plan. A consultative approach will be taken for the development of the plan, seeking advice from people with lived experience, organisations, clinicians and community groups. The aim is to identify regional priorities, looking to the future and developing a plan for how mental health services should be developed, commissioned, and delivered in partnership with local communities.
Country SA PHN and the Department for Health and Wellbeing are seeking your views as part of a YourSAy survey. Information is being sought from a wide variety of perspectives to identify and outline locally agreed priorities for mental health and suicide prevention in regional, rural and remote South Australia.
We ask that you go to YourSAy; share and respond to a series of questions via this survey link. The survey will be open until 4 July 2025.
Thank you, for sharing your ideas and vision for an improved mental health and suicide prevention system in country South Australia. We gratefully acknowledge and value the voice of our local regional communities.
