Shingles vaccination changes from September 2024
From September 2024, there are changes to the shingles vaccination eligibility under the National Immunisation Program (NIP).
Country SA PHN is funding a Shingles Vaccination Recall Program using GoShare to send a SMS reminder / recall message to eligible patients, encouraging them to attend their practice for vaccination. To register, please fill out the submission form.
Pneumococcal vaccination is recommended for infants and children, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander adults aged ≥50 years, non-Indigenous adults aged ≥70 years, and people with certain risk conditions.
Further Information can be found on The Australian Immunisation Handbook website.
The GoShare Pneumococcal Recall Program is being offered to general practices until December 2024. To register your interest please fill out the submission form or email the Primary Care and Digital Support Team at [email protected].
Please contact the Primary Care and Digital Support team if you would like to organise a presentation of the GoShare Platform for practice staff [email protected].
