Following World Immunisation Week, HealthPathways SA is urging community to promote the life-saving power of immunisation to safeguard people of all ages against vaccine-preventable diseases.    

The team are thrilled to launch the 2025 review of our Influenza Immunisation and Influenza pathways, designed to offer user-friendly evidence-based recommendations and resources all in the one place.

Last year (2024), South Australia’s flu vaccine uptake was above the national average. Let's make sure your Practice and staff are ‘flu season’ ready so we can protect the health and well-being of our community.  

The Influenza Immunisation pathway includes the latest guidance from WHO and ATAGI on the equivalent efficacy and safety between trivalent and quadrivalent vaccines, co-administration recommendations, vaccine hesitancy resources and new authority for pharmacist to immunise the general population.  

The Influenza clinical pathway describes influenza mimics, recommended treatments and indications for antiviral medications including post exposure prophylaxis.
