
Congratulations to headspace Gawler for celebrating their official opening - headspace Gawler offers free and confidential support for young people aged 12–25, across a range of health and wellbeing areas.
headspace Gawler celebrated their official launch event on 24 February 2026. The event was proudly young person–led, with members of the headspace Gawler Youth Reference Group playing a central role in the proceedings. The strong attendance from local stakeholders and community partners, highlighted how quickly this new centre has embedded itself within the community and service sector.
The event was attended by the Assistant Minister for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention, the Honourable Emma McBride MP, Country SA PHN CEO Mark Hartigan and MHAOD Strategy Project Manager Kelly Pitt, Federal Member for Spence Matt Burnell MP, headspace National CEO Jason Trethowan, and Youturn CEO James Blevin, along with headspace Gawler staff and Youth Reference Group members.
headspace Gawler offers free and confidential support for young people aged 12–25, across health and wellbeing, mental health, physical and sexual health, education and employment, and alcohol and other drug services.
headspace Gawler has been operational since November 2025 and during that time has provided approximately 500 support sessions for young people in Gawler and surrounding areas to improve their mental health and wellbeing.
