Message from the CEO

In these uncertain and challenging times our organisation is finding innovative ways to bridge the gap in health inequity in country South Australia. Within this new environment, we are continuing to listen to the primary health care needs of rural South Australian communities.

One such need was identified through the CSAPHN’s Needs Assessment. It showed increasing rates of poor oral health across the CSAPHN region, particularly in areas of socioeconomic disadvantage. This is compounded by distance and low rates of accessible dental practitioners.

As such, we have funded an After-Hours Extended Access to Dental Program to improve access to necessary dental services. The aim is to prevent avoidable emergency presentations and hospital admissions, improve health outcomes for consumers and provide a better patient experience.
