BreastScreen SA cares for South Australian women from ocean to outback
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an opportunity for us all to focus on breast cancer and its impact on those affected by the disease in our community.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in Australian women. 1 in 7 women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime.
Early detection of breast cancer improves treatment options and health outcomes for women. BreastScreen SA’s breast cancer screening program aims to detect cancer at this early stage.
This October, we encourage all women aged over 40, especially 50 to 74, to book their free breast screen at BreastScreen SA.
This month, BreastScreen SA’s mobile screening units are visiting the following locations:
