Overwhelming success: Grant recipient Mentally Fit EP 3C’s hosts well-attended conference

The Lower Eyre Local Health Cluster endorsed the Mentally Fit EP 3C’s Conference, run by West Coast Youth and Community Support, as the recipient of their Health Promotions Grant 2024-2025.

This event took place from 22-23 February 2025, at the Port Lincoln Hotel.

Now in its fifth year, it was once again an overwhelming success! 82 people attended, with some of the biggest takeaways from attendees including awareness of amazing initiatives happening on the Eyre Peninsula, sharing of programs, resources and initiatives and the valuable networking and connection opportunities this event provided.

Among the learning and connections, Self-Care Sunday and Self-Care stations were popular this year. Participants could take a moment to create essential oil blends, friendship bracelets, colouring in, work on a community puzzle or sit with a cuppa. These were reflected on as being highlights, as well as sound bowl meditation, singing for the dopamine and a drumming circle.
