PalliLEARN – Your role in a compassionate community

Compassionate communities are networks of support around people experiencing serious illness, dying, death & grief. This 1-hour introductory education course is for community members, groups and leaders to build their own skills and awareness around compassionate communities. You will be introduced as to how to nurture compassionate communities in your local area. 

Why attend?

The way we care for our dying reflects the humanity and compassion of our society.

Through training, we can create resilience, understanding and capacity within our community, helping us care for our loved ones, families and friends.

Who can attend?

This course is for all members of the community and there is no requirement for training or experience within the health or palliative care space.

Whilst not directly targeted to health professionals, we welcome the attendance of everyone interested in these areas.

  • Asking for and accepting help
  • Being a compassionate neighbour
  • Being a part of a compassionate community

A Certificate of Attendance will be provided after the course on request.

Participating in this course

This course will be delivered live via Zoom webinar link. You will be able to ask questions and have them answered during the webinar, via the chat function.

Anyone who registers for this course, but then is unable to participate in the live webinar, will receive a link to watch the webinar within 48 hours of receiving the recording.
