Protecting People in RACH from COVID-19

With the festive season just around the corner, it’s a good time for aged care providers to make sure all residents are up to date with their COVID-19 vaccinations. This is the most effective way to protect against severe illness.

Free vaccinations are recommended:

• Every 12 months for people aged 65 and over
• Every 6 months for people aged 75 and over
• For adults who are severely immunocompromised

Providers play a key role in:

• Ensuring residents have timely access to vaccinations and oral antivirals
• Maintaining effective infection prevention and control measures
