Healthcare providers can now receive Maternity Assessment Notes from public hospitals via Secure Messaging Delivery (SMD). These notes are generated when a pregnant patient receives care from a public hospital emergency department.
Notes are sent directly to healthcare providers via their preferred communications, such as SMD, ShareFile (email), fax or post.
If you would like to receive your patient’s public hospital notes via SMD, register with Health Provider Registry (HPRy) and select SMD as your communication preference. Registration is free and healthcare providers can register individually or through their practice.
More information is available at the Secure messaging page on the SA Health website.
