Responding to Comorbidity – AOD and Mental Health

This one day workshop will explore:

• Understanding alcohol and other drugs (AOD) and mental health comorbidity
• Screening and assessment
• AOD use and effects on mental health conditions
• Mental health conditions and interactions with AOD
• Effective treatment approaches for people with co-occurring conditions

Workshops are delivered by Sam Raven, Senior Policy and Project Officer. Sam has a background in Social Work, Alcohol and Other Drugs and Mental Health, Training and Community Services Management. She has worked in the AOD sector for over 20 years, in AOD treatment in both front line and management roles, providing client support, staff and volunteer training and supervision.
