As we approach the end of the year, it's a wonderful time to thank our regional communities for their engagement and support, and to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season. We look forward to welcoming 2025 with enthusiasm and the celebration it deserves!
Reflecting on Round One Recipients, 2023 to 2024, the Rural Health Innovation Fund (RHIF) has been privileged to complete our inaugural year and celebrate those who have made significant contributions to rural South Australia through innovative and collaborative efforts. We are also excited to introduce our newly successful Round 2 Grant Recipients, now featured on our Facebook pages #rhif and #countrysaphn.
RHIF continues to fulfill its mission to foster innovative health and wellbeing solutions for charitable organisations and community groups in regional South Australia. Recognising the challenges of securing funding at times, especially for smaller organisations, we are thrilled to support innovative health and wellbeing initiatives each year. We celebrate the courage and commitment of our communities who are exploring and leading new, locally relevant health and wellbeing approaches. With your continued support, we are confident that RHIF will continue to gain momentum in 2025.
In Round 2, we are supporting music and arts-focused initiatives such as the Southern Yorke Peninsula Hub’s SYP Sounds Initiative and the Pinnaroo Project’s Arts and Wellness Program. Sanctuary on Eyre’s Wellbeing through animal connection program will be highlighting the benefits of the human-animal connection, while Crystal Brook Kindergarten's Place of Intergenerational Connection, sponsored by Uniting Country SA, fosters precious first nation’s culture and connection with the young and old. The Willaston Football Club will deliver a mental health and job-ready program, and IReach will launch a work and volunteering initiative to support youth entering or re-entering the workforce. Finally, Women Learning Together (WoTL), will provide much-needed support to regional women especially when facing times of crisis from their Regenerating Rural Women initiative.
With the holiday spirit upon us, and our regional communities stepping up to support each other, RHIF is proud to support these valued, innovative initiatives. We celebrate their impact as they grow into 2025, and we eagerly anticipate Grant Round 3. Stay tuned and join us in supporting these exciting initiatives that enhance the health and wellbeing of rural South Australians!
