The SA Health Department for Health and Wellbeing (DHW) invites your feedback on the newly developed Clinical Prioritisation Criteria (CPC) released for consultation:
Consultation is also open for the Gastroenterology (adult) CPC which has recently undergone a review of the existing CPC, with the addition of two new conditions:
The CPC documents can be accessed through the consultation page of the CPC website. Feedback can be sent via email to [email protected] and is requested by Friday 13 June 2025.
CPC are standardised, statewide referral guidelines designed to support safe and equitable referral and triage of patients to public hospital outpatient clinics across South Australia. CPC provide both clinicians and the public with clear information about the necessary clinical information and investigations required for a referral to be triaged and accepted for public outpatient services.
The CPC Website now includes 32 specialties, covering over 400 individual conditions, with additional specialties to be added as they are completed and endorsed. The development of these criteria involves Local Health Network (LHN) clinicians and GPs, including input from LHN-based GP Integration Officers and GPs participating via Adelaide and Country PHNs.
