SHINE SA launches new campaign: ‘Get Lucky? Get Tested for Syphilis’

Over the past few years there has been a dramatic increase in cases of syphilis, a sexually transmitted infection (STI). When left untreated syphilis can cause serious health consequences, including during pregnancy. Unfortunately, syphilis can be highly infectious, however the good news is that syphilis is a curable infection. This makes regular testing crucial for effective treatment and prevention.

In response to rising cases, SHINE SA has launched a new campaign: ‘Get Lucky? Get Tested for Syphilis’. The campaign aims to raise awareness of syphilis as well as to encourage South Australians to practice safer sex, get tested regularly and get treated.

Get involved by ordering free posters or brochures. For a limited time only, until stock runs out! For Syphilis information and resources for Health Professionals, visit the SHINE SA website.
