Skin Cancer Skills Training Update Port Pirie

On 9 October 2024, South Australian Postgraduate Medical Education Association (SAPMEA) hosted Skin Cancer Skills Training which was funded by Country SA PHN. This hands-on session provided invaluable training to attendees and upskilled them to identify and diagnose various skin cancers. Attendees learnt to identify key characteristics of skin cancers and learned how to perform suturing techniques for biopsy and excision procedures including advanced methods such as flaps and grafts.

This workshop was attended well by health professionals working in Port Pirie and surrounding areas.

Thank you to Dr Gerry Considine who presented this excellent professional development session, and many thanks to all those who attended the course.

SAPMEA is dedicated to enhancing patient care through targeted health professional education in South Australia. View the range of workshops and courses available to health professionals across regional South Australia on the SAPMEA website.
