General Practitioner - Clinical Editor Role

Expression of Interest: General Practitioner - Clinical Editor Role with HealthPathways SA

Country SA PHN is seeking expressions of interest from motivated and enthusiastic General Practitioners with rural experience for the position of HealthPathways General Practitioner (GP) Clinical Editor.

Joining Drs. Chris Moy, Simon Lockwood, Helena Williams, Muazzam Rifat and Katrina Couchman alongside the rest of the HealthPathways SA team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the state-wide development and implementation of the HealthPathways SA program.

Going live in March 2018, HealthPathways SA now has over 200 localised pathways of care across areas such as chronic pain, anxiety in adults, cervical screening, opioid withdrawal, constipation in children and many more. Our team works with local specialists and subject matter experts to develop and publish pathways of care that reflect the South Australian context to health professionals with easy access to comprehensive, evidence-based assessment, management and localised referral resources for specific health conditions.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a variety of health professionals and organisations across SA to develop pathways of care for publication to the HealthPathways SA website. The role is flexible to schedules, and with a commitment of between 16-30 hours per month (depending on successful candidate’s availability).

IT Support Officer

Country SA PHN (CSAPHN) is the primary health network (PHN) covering the country regions of South Australia.

Established by the Federal Government, PHNs are now operating Australia-wide. The key objectives of the PHNs are to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of medical services for patients, particularly those at risk of poor health outcomes, and to improve the coordination of care to ensure patients receive the right care in the right place at the right time.

The role

We are currently seeking an IT Support Officer on a permanent full-time basis to join our team. The position would be an ideal fit for a dynamic, outcome-individual with a focus on providing exceptional customer service. Reporting to the Manager Information Systems, you will be part of our small and diverse IT Team.

The IT Support Officer will provide support to all CSAPHN staff by providing incident resolution, actioning support requests, administering the service desk, systems maintenance and general IT administration.

Responsibilities include

  • First point of contact for IT Support to all CSAPHN staff and customers
  • Diagnosis and resolution of server, network, desktop and peripheral hardware issues
  • Implement system updates and patching
  • Maintain network users, user environments, file storage and security
  • Utilise the service desk system to prioritise and assist staff and customers
  • Document and maintain internal IT procedures
  • Perform daily and weekly system maintenance and administration tasks

Requirements

  • Full unrestricted Australian working rights - this is a MUST, and we will not be reviewing applications without this requirement
  • Current valid Australian drivers licence
  • Exceptional written and spoken English
  • Ability to learn rapidly to acquire further experience in the installation, support, maintenance and administration of Operating Systems, Servers, Databases and Application Software
  • Experience working with Microsoft Product Range (workstation and server software)
  • Cloud Technologies experience (Office365, Terminal Services, File-Sync Tools)
  • Previous IT helpdesk experience is preferred

Experience in the health sector is an advantage as is knowledge of Clinical Information Systems.
