Country SA PHN is assisting the Federal Government to deliver a General Practice Grants Program to country South Australian practices that will help our rural and remote communities access quality primary health care.
The $220 million Strengthening Medicare – General Practice (GP) Grants Program allows eligible General Practices and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services to expand patient access and improve services. COVID-19 Aged Care Worker Leave Payment Grants
A new grant will be available from 1 July 2023 to support permanent or casual aged care workers caring for older Australians most at risk of severe illness. Australian Government funded residential aged care and home care providers will be able to apply for a reimbursement of up to $750 per week for payments they have made (from 1 April 2023) to permanent or casual employees that have no personal or sick leave entitlements available and need to take leave because they have tested positive to COVID-19. eReferrals coming to SA Health
A single electronic referral (eReferral) system is being established across all of SA Health. The Statewide eReferrals Program, being rolled out by Digital Health SA, will enable GPs to digitally send referral forms to outpatient clinics, replacing the use of faxes and letters. Read more...
