headspace Murray Bridge - Seeking expressions of interest from GPs to work with headspace

Are you a GP with skills and interest in working with young people 12-25 years and want to be part of a dynamic, passionate headspace team?

headspace is a youth mental health program for young people 12-25 years old and provides holistic care in the primary health space.  We know the value and importance of good medical care alongside psychological care.

We know a good relationship between a young person and a GP can make a significant difference for a young person’s long-term health outcomes.

We seek expressions of interest from GPs who share our values in working with young people in the Mental Health space and want to work alongside mental health workers and Aboriginal workers.  Sexual health and Mental health are a prime focus of our work, but a broad range of General Practice input will be welcomed.

We are looking for a GP who could offer sessional services at our site, with a purpose fit-out room for a GP at Murray Bridge and Victor Harbor at times that are suitable to all parties.

We can provide you with a team environment, admin support, and professional development opportunities in mental health both locally and nationally as part of the GP program at the headspace National Office. We can also provide you access to primary and secondary Psychiatrist consults for your work with young people.

If this has piqued your interest and you would like to discuss this opportunity further, please give me a call on 0427 719 258 or email at suzannef@mmgpn.org.au
