HealthPathways South Australia has developed a new pathway to assist health professionals to understand their potential role as well as the legal rights and obligations in relation to voluntary assisted dying (VAD) and the recent change in legislation.
The pathway provides navigation and information on legal requirements, VAD clinical guidelines for SA, responding to patients who ask about VAD, roles including conscientious objection as well as further registration and training options.
