The Practice Support Team have recently engaged with GPs and practice staff to assist them with their newly opened general practice clinics. The team have provided Web service support, Accreditation resources and provided information on Country SA PHN activities and programs. Two of the new practices are featured below.
After working in Whyalla for the past 5 Years, Dr. Veera Vasupilli has recently opened his own business at 65 Norrie Avenue, Whyalla Norrie.
Open 7 days a week including most public holidays
Monday – Friday 9am till 6pm
Saturday – Sunday 10am till 3pm
The practice caters to all health needs including women’s and men’s health, care plans, skin procedures, mental health, WorkCover, skin checks, immunisations including COVID-19 vaccinations.

Doctors on Norrie is currently looking for new doctors to join their team.
McRitchie Surgery was established in 1998 by Dr Jerome Connolly, who emigrated from the UK in the late 80’s. The surgery quickly became one of the busiest practices in the region.
As a solo general practitioner who also provided services to the local hospital for over 34 years, Jerome has been a pivotal and invaluable part of the Whyalla community. His son, Dr Oliver Connolly, joined the practice in 2020.
After two years working side by side, Jerome has now retired, and the practice has been taken over by Oliver and his partner Hayley Stone (Registered Nurse). The practice was closed for a short time for renovations and opened for business on the 28 March 2022. They are aiming to provide a high standard of care to the community and increase their capacity in the near future. They are currently seeking a general practitioner to join the team.
