The Pain Revolution Rural Outreach Tour

The Pain Revolution Rural Outreach Touris a community awareness and fundraising event where over the course of a week, a group of 50+ cyclists, educators and clinicians tour ’the target region’, undertaking community and health professional engagement sessions in rural and regional towns, in collaboration with local agencies.

Pain Revolution is targeting Southeast South Australia and Western Victoria for the delivery of our world-leading health professional capacity building and community outreach programs, and we want to know (i) how we can best help you improve the lives of people in your region who are challenged by pain and the health professionals who treat them,

The Local Pain Educator programme is a capacity building and Health Care Professional (HCP) network facilitator. HCPs in ’the target region’ are recruited to undertake an extensive training program, including a Professional Certificate in Pain Science & Education, extensive training and mentoring in establishing sustainable Local Pain Collectives, in best practice and high value pain care. They are integrated into a growing national network of Local Pain Educators who are supported by Pain Revolution and by each other.

The Local Pain Collectives (or ‘Learning circles’) programme. Pain Revolution assists newly trained Local Pain Educators to establish local learning circles for HCPs, provides curriculum and case-based study programmes that involve Learning Circle meetings over 8 months, and culminates in a ‘Whole of Community Event’, which is delivered by the Learning Circle, to their general community.

Our programs are supported by PHNs, LHNs, commonwealth and state governments, our fundraising initiatives, community agencies, local industry and private donors.

Pain Revolution is targeting South East South Australia for the delivery of our world-leading health professional capacity building and community outreach programs and we want to know (i) how we can best help you improve the lives of people challenged by pain and the health professionals who treat them, and (ii) whether there are opportunities to partner with you across any or all of our programs, or to help you deliver yours.  We are looking to recruit 10+ health care professionals to become Local Pain Educators (commencing training in September 2023), to then establish 2 - 3 Local Pain Collectives that we support with study plans and curricula, and for us to bring the Pain Revolution Rural Outreach Tour to this region in the second half of 2024.
