Country SA PHN GoShare Practice Registration
Country SA PHN is funding GoShare for 12 months for general practices to support quality improvement and preventative health activities within country SA. Medicare assessment for COVID-19 oral anti-viral medications by telephone
New temporary Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) items for General Practitioners (GPs) and other medical practitioners (OMPs) working in general practice settings will provide rebates for longer telephone consultations when assessing patients with COVID-19 for suitability of anti-viral medications.  Read more…

Educational resources for Palliative Care are only one click away with The Palliative Care Education Directory (PaCE). The PaCE Directory App will enable users to readily access palliative care education and training resources that are provided by the Collaborative and other National Palliative Care Projects (NPCPs). Users can access the PaCE Directory by a mobile-responsive web-based app on their smartphone, tablet or desktop computer.

Grants for Young Carers - Applications Open for 2023 
Carers aged 12-25 years can apply for a Young Carer Bursary that provides support to continue their education. Applications for 2023 are open until 5pm (AEST) 13 September 2022 through Young Carers Network. The program offers bursaries of $3,000 each year to assist with education needs and resources. 

Healthdirect video call - extension
The Department of Health has extended the Healthdirect video call COVID-19 GP Program to 31 December 2022. This service is provided without cost to General Practices, Aboriginal Medical Services (AMS), and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHs). GPs in private practice can register for access here. GPs in AMS/ACCHs can register for access here.

NASH Certificates
Australian Digital Health Agency has updated its NASH certificate policy and has announced that all organisations are required to be using NASH SHA-2 Certificate by 31 December 2022. If your organisation has a NASH SHA-1 certificate, irrespective of its expiry date, you need to transition to NASH SHA-2 certificate by the end of this year. Read more…

Accessing Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) data 
AIR is a national register that records all vaccines given to people of all ages in Australia. AIR reports and statements are available to practice managers, practice nurses, GPs, and other vaccination providers.
